Driver Training

Safety is good!
Doing the safe thing costs money. However, any spending on safety is money well spent. It can mean reduced waste, more uptime, less equipment damage, lower insurance premiums, higher productivity and lower legal costs.

We can organise training and instruction for operators, supervisors and managers from RTITB and IPAF qualified instructors. Areas of training covered are:

  • vehicle driving
  • safe operations
  • daily check procedures
  • productive application of all mobile equipment

Forklift Training Video - 7 Deadly Sins
Used by all training companies, 7 Deadly Sins outlines the seven most common mistakes made by lift drivers.

The video features reconstructions of real-life accidents with hard-hitting graphical effects.

Forktruck Operator Training
The need for expert training of truck operators is pressing. The number of accidents involving serious injury remains too high, The 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act Section 2 (2c) relevant to training of lift truck drivers has resulted in prosecutions being made under the Act.

What the code requires:

  1. Employers must ensure that all lift trucks operators are adequately trained or have existing experience.
  2. Employers must ensure that operation of all lift trucks is restricted to authorised operators only.
  3. All new operators must undergo satisfactory basic training in accordance with the Code from 1st April 1989.

We offer a number of courses on-site or in-house, each designed to meet existing and proposed legislation, on the training operators of counterbalance and reach trucks. All are conducted by experienced instructors who have undergone extensive training in instructional techniques and skills.
